The Slate

A slate is a team of candidates running together for different positions within the party. We share a common vision and believe we can be more effective by working as a coordinated team from day one.
Running as a slate helps delegates understand who we are, what we stand for, and how we plan to lead together.

No. Elections for each office are held separately.
While we all hope to win as a team, you’re free to vote for any candidate in each election.

The Proposed Chair’s Stipend

A stipend is a fixed payment—$5,500 monthly under my proposal—to help offset the personal cost of serving full-time in a demanding volunteer role without outside employment.

Yes. Both the North Carolina Democratic Party and the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party began paying Chair stipends in 2024—each higher than the proposed $5,500 per month.

No. As fundraising grows, so will our staff team. A sustainable long-term structure would include 5–6 full-time employees, including an Executive Director and a paid Chair.
